Challenge

Carvolution faced a significant challenge in transitioning from their Microsoft Navision ERP system to the modern, cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The old ERP system struggled to keep pace with Carvolution expanding needs, creating obstacles in managing and integrating various business processes. The migration to Business Central was crucial for streamlining operations, ensuring scalability to handle future growth, and providing comprehensive, real-time data insights

This upgrade was essential for maintaining the high level of service Carvolution is known for and for continuing to meet the evolving demands of their business and customers effectively.

Solution

The solution for Carvolution commenced with a strategic migration from the legacy Microsoft Navision ERP system to the advanced, cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This migration was executed efficiently within a three-month timeframe, setting the stage for significant improvements across the organisation.

Following the successful migration, the focus shifted to several key areas to further enhance operational capabilities:

  • Driving automation: To boost scalability and operational efficiency, we implemented advanced automation features. This included automating repetitive processes and integrating workflows, which streamlined daily operations and reduced manual intervention.
  • Feature enhancement: We introduced new features tailored to meet the evolving needs of various business units within Carvolution. These enhancements were designed to address specific requirements and support the company’s expanding operations, ensuring that the ERP system remained aligned with the dynamic business environment.
  • KPI visibility: Improving visibility into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) was a critical objective. We developed and implemented advanced reporting and dashboard functionalities to provide management and the board with real-time insights. This enhanced visibility facilitated more strategic and data-driven decision-making.

The project required managing multiple entities, each with distinct needs, and integrating Dynamics 365 Business Central with a range of external and internal software tools. This integration ensured seamless data transfer and operational coherence across the organisation.
